2017-04UPDATES OF IEC62321 TEST STANDARD
IEC 62321 provided test methods of certain substances in electronic and electrical products.The first edition of IEC 62321: 2008 was a single ‘stand-alone’ standard that includes an introduction,an overview of test methods,a mechanical sample preparation as well as various test method. The Taiwan Bureau of Standard, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) announced the following six categories of products will be incorporated into the Taiwan RoHS control since July 1, 2017. According to CNS 15663 requirements, the contents of the restricted substances should be marked. Product categories include:16
2017-06EU AMENDS ANNEX XVII TO REACH REGULATION AS REGARD
On 14 June 2017, the Official Journal of the European Union published (EU) 2017/1000, adding Entry 68 of Annex XVII to REACH Regulation as regards PFOA. This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.21
2017-06EU AMENDS EXEMPTION LISTS IN ANNEX III OF RoHS 2
On 16 June 2017, the Official Journal of the European Union has published Directives (EU) (EU)2017/1009,(EU)2017/1010 and (EU) 2017/1011 to amend point 9(b) and point 13(a) as regards an exemption on lead , and 13(b) as regards an exemption on lead and cadmium. The directives shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.10
2017-07THE SVHC CANDIDATE LIST UPDATE TO 174 SUBSTANCES
07 July 2017，ECHA published Decision adding PFHxS to SVHC Candidate List, at the same time BPA add endocrine disrupting properties as Intrinsic property(ies) in SVHC. For BPA is already listed on the Candidate List because the toxic for reproduction, by now the SVHC Candidate List include total 17 batchs 174 substances.07
2017-09ECHA LAUNCHES A PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON 9 POTENTIAL
ECHA has launched the public consultation on 9 proposals for substances of very high concern (SVHCs).The public consultation will be open for 45 days and will end on 20 Oct 2017. Interested parties are invited to join the public consultation by posting their comments on the ECHA website. Substances passing the public consultation will become the eighteenth batch SVHCs. For BPA is already listed on the Candidate List, this consultation because of its endocrine disrupting properties – environment.17
2017-10TMA AND DCHP ARE PLANNED TO BE IDENTIFIED AS SVHCs
ECHA has submit two notifications the to the TBT: G/TBT/N/EU/519 and G/TBT/N/EU/520 , aims at identifying TMA as a substance of very high concern due to its respiratory sensitisation properties according to Article 57(f) of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) , DCHP15
